Mesch has been invited by pianist Sandra Joy Friesen to perform dance for Trigon by Udo Kasemets in a lecture and performance on experimental Canadian piano music. Also performing will be Werner Friesen, who will be painting during the performance. Convocation Hall, University of Alberta, 8 pm.

International Dance Day – Jen Mesch will be presenting The Shore House – a conceptual dance piece at “What’s Cooking” hosted by Good Women Dance Collective. Mesch is collaborating with composer Ruth Guechtal who is writing original music to be performed live by Mesch on violin. PCL Theater at the Transalta Arts Barns, Edmonton, AB.

Evidence with Jen Mesch Dance Conspiracy – The University of Alberta Department of Music will be hosting composer Stephan Moore who in the past has been a frequent collaborator with the Jen Mesch Dance Conspiracy. Moore will be giving a talk about his years working in various music roles for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, and music for dance in general. Following the talk, Moore along with Scott Smallwood (Evidence) will perform with the Jen Mesch Dance Conspiracy. As if that wasn’t enough, XIME (eXperimental Improv Music Ensemble from U of A) will be playing a set as well. At Mile Zero Dance Studio e, 9533 Jasper Ave, Edmonton, Alberta. 7:30 pm. $5 suggested donation. Potluck refreshments, bring something if you like!
