Mile Zero Dance is hosting a new set of classes at their new Spazio Performativo, and they’ve invited Jen Mesch to bring back Rebel Ballet!  This class was designed for dancers over 18 who are interested in a ballet technique class that balances reverence and irreverence, welcomes different bodies and aesthetics, and includes conversation on a historical context of ballet, as well as its relevance in the future. This class is taught at an intermediate level, a background in basic ballet foundations will be helpful.

Mile Zero Dance presents, Beyond Borders, its second salon of the winter season in conjunction with dc3 Art Projects. Jen Mesch will be adding a dance element to the spoken words of Ben Freeland.

Using the geological drop off the continental shelf outside the heavily built-over construct of Tokyo Bay as a metaphor for the boundary between the accepted and the forbidden, Skindiving in Tokyo Bay is a meditation on the outer limits of social sanction and the allure of the dark and dangerous beyond.
